Description
I created my honeybee series to celebrate the most important insect in our world. The Honey Patch Bee Bowl was thrown and trimmed on the potter’s wheel, then carefully dried to just the right consistency to create the chiseled copper texture on the upper interior section, then carefully planning the layout to create the honeycomb patches. Later in the drying stage, I carve freehand with a few specific tools . After the bowl is bisque fired, I painstakingly outline all of the bees hand-brush each color in 3 layers and fire it again to 2232 F.
