Description
I created my tree series to celebrate the breathtaking beauty and simplicity of our forests. The Sugar Maple Red Tree Bowl was thrown and trimmed on the potter’s wheel, then carefully dried to just the right consistency to create the 2 exterior borders leading into the silhouette of a single tree covered with orange, golden and red foliage . After the bowl is bisque fired, I painstakingly paint the trunk and branches, and individual leaves, hand-brushing and with a slip trailer in 3 layers and fire it again to 2232 F.
